Description

The Ethnographic Museum of Valdefuentes is located on the ground floor of the old Convent of the Augustinian Recollects. It displays how traditional village life was through objects related to farming and crafts. The highlight is the exhibition on Los Tableros, a very ancient festival in honor of the Virgin of the Rosary. Examples of sgraffito, a typical decorative technique used on the facades of the village, can also be seen, for which Valdefuentes was named the Regional Capital of Sgraffito in 2013. Additionally, visitors can tour the convent's cloister, where exhibitions and concerts are held. The museum is open on Friday afternoons, all day Saturday, and Sunday mornings. For other days, inquiries should be made at the town hall. Winter hours: 09:00–14:00 and 17:00–19:00 Summer hours: 09:00–14:00 and 19:00–21:00
